A Look Into the Current 2023 College Football Rankings

College football is up and running, and week five brought a lot of excitement to fans across the country. A lot of changes were made in this week of games, and the tension was high. The 2022 National Champions Georgia Bulldogs are still the nation’s leading team. With star players like tight end Brock Bowers and quarterback Stetson Bennet, the odds of a repeat national champion trophy aren’t slim.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish returned to the top ten after their week four loss to Ohio State. With players like quarterback Sam Hartman averaging 243 yards a game and running back Audric Estime, who leads the team with 352 yards and 8.0 yards per carry, making the fighting Irish projected to rise in next week’s rankings. These dawgs are driving the Fighting Irish up in the rankings.

The biggest jump in the top 25 came from the Oregon State Beavers and the Ole Miss Rebels. Both these teams jumped four spots and showed that they are two of the toughest teams to beat. Oregon State beat the 4-0 Utah Utes and Ole Miss defeated the number 13 LSU tigers.
