Eagle High is proud to recognize one of its most accomplished graduates, Anna Petzinger, who not only excelled in her academics but also set an example of hard work and dedication. Petzinger will be graduating with an outstanding 4.0 GPA, a symbol of her hard work and commitment to education throughout high school. She continues her next chapter at Brigham Young University Provo, Utah, and she leaves behind a legacy of excellence.
Throughout her high school years, Petzinger maintained a rigorous schedule, consistently challenging herself. This year alone she enrolled in three Advanced Placement (AP) classes during her senior year: AP Government, AP Statistics and AP English. These courses are known for being academically intense, and her success in each speaks to her ability to manage time and stay focused.
“Throughout high school, I stayed on top of my homework and studied in advance, staying on top of my work was my biggest trick,” Petzinger said.
Outside of the classroom, Petzinger’s strong work ethic and leadership abilities have been evident in her involvement in extracurricular activities. Whether participating in clubs or sports, she demonstrated a commitment to make an impact. Petzinger is part of NHS (National Honors Society) and competes in Varsity Rugby and Wrestling. This highlights her well-rounded character that will serve her well as she continues her education at BYU.
Petzinger plans to serve a mission for the Church of Latter-day Saints after a semester at BYU.
“I’m excited to go out and serve wherever I may get called to. I know I will grow as a person and it will be a great learning experience for me,” she said.
As Petzinger plans to begin her college journey at BYU, there is no doubt that she will continue to excel in academic and extracurricular activities.
