Here at Eagle High, many students love all the activities that come with spring. With winter over, students can now get back to their favorite outdoor activities. Some students love spring sports and others love the weather. No matter what it is, the spring season is a favorite at Eagle High.
Freshman Claire Barker’s favorite part about spring is the weather and lacrosse.
“Lacrosse is my favorite spring sport,” Many students’ favorite part of the school year is spring. Spring sports at Eagle High include track and field, lacrosse, tennis, baseball, softball and rugby. Playing spring sports is the highlight of some students’ year.
Another aspect students often love about spring is the weather. Barker shared that one of her favorite parts about spring is the rain and seeing the flowers bloom. Barker explained that she and her family love to sit on their porch and watch the storms.
“We sit on the porch with blankets and watch the rain and listen to the thunder,” Barker said.
There are many activities outside Eagle High to do in the Treasure Valley during spring as well. There is the Greenbelt and Table Rock if outdoors is the destination. All of these activities provide scenic views of all the new plant life returning for spring.
If inside spring activities are the goal, there is the Old Idaho State Penitentiary and The Boise Art Museum. Those activities get people out of the house and enjoying spring. Spring brings so many good things. From the weather to flowers, spring is a beautiful season.
“I love seeing the new flowers come up and all the baby ducks that are around my neighborhood,” Barker said.
No matter what students choose to do, there are many options available for those wanting to embrace spring in the Treasure Valley.
