Eagle High girls’ lacrosse team is a group of girls that are dedicated to playing their best as a team and making many memories. As the new 2026 season begins, the team becomes even stronger and more enthusiastic about their season.
The Mustangs started their season in early February and will continue through May. With the first game being on March 3, the players have practiced consistently and are prepared for the season to come. They hope it is their best one yet and that it will end with a State Championship.
In the past few years that the Eagle High girls’ lacrosse program has been in play, it has expanded more every year, with more girls wanting to play and tryout.
For the past couple of years, there has only been one varsity team. However, this year, they have added an additional JV team. This adds more diversity for the overall team. As the program grows, the players grow to love their team and sport even more.
The girls feel confident about their team this year and feel that they are going to start off well and go throughout the season with the same momentum.
“I think we’re going to have a strong season and win State this year because we’ve been working hard and have really good team chemistry,” said senior Tayler Archer.
Archer plays attack. Her role in the team is to create scoring opportunities and help lead the offense. With her many responsibilities, she is also one of the seniors that is leading the Mustangs this season.
“It feels really special to be a senior on varsity because I get to step into more of a leadership role and make the most of my last season,” Archer said.
Archer represents the excitement, determination and motivation that the girls on the team have.
Girls lacrosse had their first in-season game on March 3 and have their final in-season game on April 18.
Girls’ lacrosse at Eagle High has a lot ahead of them, but they are well prepared with big aspirations and plan to persevere throughout the season
