Eagle High is full of many amazing teachers who work hard to set their students up for success. Seniors at Eagle High have great appreciation for the teachers that have made their high school experience so amazing. Over their time here at Eagle High, seniors have many opinions on who is their favorite teacher and why.
“Mr. O’brien is my favorite teacher because he’s great at teaching both history and psychology,” said senior Haley Allen. “He genuinely cares about his students and wants to see them learn and grow.” Teacher Doug O’brien is a common favorite at Eagle High. His teaching style is very effective for many students.
“My favorite teacher has got to be Mr. Cornell because he makes bad dad jokes that make me smile and he genuinely has an interest in what he teaches,” said senior Chloe Brischler. “I never feel like I have stupid questions in his class and it honestly motivates me to come to school.” Teacher Bruce Cornell is another favorite at Eagle High. Many students have expressed how much they love him.
“I’ve had many teachers that I’ve loved, but one of my favorites this year is Mr. Cornell because he cares about his students and makes sure they understand what he is teaching,” said senior Kate Kuehn. “He always brings a positive attitude to the classroom, even when he is busy or overwhelmed.” Students really appreciate Cornell for his teaching style and how he pays attention to every one of his students, making sure they always understand the lessons.
“Mrs. Foster is my favorite teacher because she made every class so fun and she did the water bucket challenge when I nominated her,” said senior Ainsley Nielson. Students love it when teachers take the time to make their classes engaging and fun. It also helps when the teacher partakes in silly games/challenges when their students ask them to.
Another teacher that is well-known in the halls of Eagle high is teacher Shelli Taylor. Every student who has ever had her class knows just how fun her class can be. All her students love her and many have shared exactly what it is about her they love.
“Shelli is my favorite teacher because she is an icon, but beyond that, she knows her students and truly cares,” said senior Elisia Henry. “I know that she has shaped so many students’ high school careers for the better, mine included.” Taylor has been a positive influence on all her students. She has done so much to set them up for success and leave a lasting mark on her students.
“From her crazy stories to blasting random music and the endless supply of snacks, Shelli’s classroom is a safe space for all students,” Henry said. Taylor has created a classroom environment that makes all her students feel welcome, and she is very appreciated for that.
“Shelli is my favorite teacher because she’s Shelli,” said senior Truly Iverson. Taylor’s reputation has led to her being one of the most popular teachers within the walls of Eagle High.
Mentioned or not, every teacher at Eagle High has had some kind of effect on their students. Seniors at Eagle High love each and every one of their teachers and are very grateful for the time and energy they spend on helping them learn and grow.
