Two seniors from Eagle High are gearing up for exciting new journeys after graduation. Both have chosen paths that lead them to serve their country, each in their own unique way.
One of these seniors, Rebecca Gabriele, committed to West Point Military Academy in November of 2025 to further her soccer career
“I am very excited to follow in my parent’s footsteps… I am beyond blessed to have this opportunity,” Gabrielle said. Her parents served 20 years in the U.S. army, where they met and fell in love. Her older brother has followed their path as well, currently serving. Gabrielle was not always planning on serving, but getting an offer to play division 1 soccer and serve her country at the same time changed her life plan.
Senior Carter Ditlove is another senior preparing for a life of service, but instead of heading to a university, he’s enlisting in the U.S. Air Force to become a fighter pilot. He’s excited to begin his journey and focus on the future. Ditlove has always had a passion for the Air Force and is going to pursue his childhood dreams.
Both Gabrielle and Ditlove are excited and ready for the challenges to come. As they prepare to leave high school behind, they’re not just looking forward to the next chapter, they’re ready to begin making an impact.
“We’re both taking big steps,” Ditlove said. “But we know it’s all worth it.”
