Having a busy schedule is something many people struggle with. The challenge of juggling school, sports, clubs and a job can put too much pressure on some. Senior Hailee Simpson balances all that and more during her last year here at Eagle High.
Simpson has been in dance her whole life, participating in both the Eagle Lightning Dance Team and Dance Unlimited. This requires rigorous practice and focus. Competitions are regular, and travelling out of state isn’t uncommon.
“Dance has always been a part of my life, and my family has always supported it,” Simpson said.
Simpson has also competed in track and field for the past two years. Long practices and hard workouts leave little time to get much else done. Simpson runs the 400 meters.
“Practices with my friends are always fun. Now that it’s our senior year, I enjoy them even more,” she said.
While maintaining her schedule, Simpson has kept a 4.0 GPA and is also in multiple AP and college classes. She stays on top of her homework in order to have time for other things in her daily life.
Apart from sports and school, Simpson also attends many church events, and she is involved in many clubs at Eagle High including FCA and NHS. who are very involved in her life.
Simpson plans to attend BSU next year in the medical imaging program.
