Seniors have taken dozens of classes during their time at Eagle High, and as they look back, they remember their favorite classes. These are the best classes they recommend others to take before they graduate.
The class of 2026 includes a diverse pool of students that come from different academic backgrounds that all possess different interests. This results in a wide variety of class recommendations from this year’s seniors.
Some students have found that the art classes offered at Eagle High are their favorites if art is a creative outlet for them. An Eagle High class where students can both do art and teach is called “Teaching Art in Elementary”.
“Everyone should take ‘Teaching Art in Elementary’. It’s so fun and fulfilling at the same time,” said senior Ella Stenquis.
Teacher Krista Rodgerson teaches this course at Eagle High. The class travels to a local elementary schools to do art with the students at the school. It is a class that is highly recommended by many and continues to grow in popularity.
“‘Teaching Art in Elementary’ is the best class. Everyone who can take it should,” said senior Madison Ruport.
Teaching Art is not the only popular art class among seniors at Eagle High. Also taught by Rodgerson, Traditional Folk Art is another senior recommendation and favorite. This class is available to anyone who has finished both Design and Drawing.
“If I had to recommend any class, it would be Traditional Folk Art,” said senior Brooke Frame.
Although many seniors recommend the art classes offered at Eagle High, others recommend more challenging classes that have either helped them or they have enjoyed.
“The class I would recommend most is College Composition,” said senior Tayler Archer. “It helps improve your writing abilities a lot and sets you up to be able to write a really good college essay.”
College classes can seem like a big task for some students, but College Composition is a class Archer highly recommends that the incoming juniors take. Taught by teacher Christian Gross, the class offered students a chance to become better writers and overall students.
Others recommend AP classes. Although challenging, they offer a great education and produce students with an in-depth knowledge on subjects, preparing them for college and careers.
“My favorite class I’ve taken is AP Psych, because it was very interesting to learn why people act certain ways and different psychological theories,” said senior Andie Roy. “Also, Mr. Obrien teaches it, and he’s my favorite teacher ever and makes all the lessons really fun and informative.”
Although AP classes pose a challenge for many students, they can be worth it because they provide students with lots of new knowledge. That’s not the only reason Roy speaks highly of the AP Psychology class.
Another difficult class at Eagle High that current seniors recommend is Wildlife Biology taught by teacher Brian Fedigan.
“Wildlife bio is the class I would recommend most because Fedigan is a really fun teacher and makes everything you learn about interesting,” said senior Marley Johnson.
No matter what incoming freshman, sophomore, juniors, or seniors are looking for in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, there are many options for them and many great recommendations from art to science given by this year’s class of 2026 seniors.
These seniors have an abundance of insight from the last four years and love many things about all their classes, and these are just a few that were their overall favorites that they would recommend to all the younger grades.
