“My family and I set up Christmas decorations on Black Friday and then go shopping for a long time,” said junior Emily McAllister. “Usually, we go to the mall, clothing stores or Target.” Not only is Black Friday a day McAllister uses to get some shopping done, but it is also the start of the Christmas season in her family.
“I love shopping and not having to spend a ton of money,” she said. “[Also,] Thanksgiving leftovers are so good to eat on Black Friday.” After a long day of Black Friday shopping, McAllister likes to replenish herself with some delicious holiday leftovers.
“I usually buy clothes and sometimes just fun stuff like a drink,” McAllister said. She loves to take advantage of Black Friday deals and stock up on some more clothes for the upcoming year. It only makes sense she would also buy a little treat for herself to give her energy to continue hunting for more discounts.
“When my sisters were teenagers, they would wake up at two or three in the morning on Black Friday to drive to the mall, and then they would be home right on time for Christmas decorating,” McAllister said. McAllister’s family likes to take Black Friday seriously by being up really early to catch all the best sales. They also take extra precautions not to miss out on decorating for Christmas.
Black Friday is the perfect time to purchase gifts for friends and family for Christmas. With all the excellent deals that can be found either in-store or online during the holiday, everyone is sure to find something to buy. With Black Friday just around the corner, be sure to keep an eye out for all the upcoming sales.
