Many debate that teens should not be able to join Easter egg hunts, but several students disagree with this statement.
Age doesn’t mean discrimination should appear around teens.
“If you want to have an Easter egg hunt, go do one,” said sophomore Chaz Fritel. “Just don’t ruin it for the kids.”
Though teens are much faster than younger kids, they can still make it enjoyable for younger children. Many students have younger siblings or cousins that can help collect eggs, and that is a way teens as well as young children can enjoy being involved with egg hunts.
Easter egg hunts can make teens feel like they are kids again. Enjoying the fun of easter with decorating eggs, finding candy, money, and other things.
“Teenagers are still kids too,” said junior Makenna Miller. “If they want to enjoy a easter egg hunt, let them.”
Childhood memories bring back many for teens. It brings back the joy in life. With teens being in school and other responsibilities taking most of the time, teenager being able to be a kid again can make life brighter.
Miller explained that even though she doesn’t participate, she loves watching kids be kids.
“I mean I would watch from afar,” Miller said. “But I don’t think I would participate.”
Easter egg hunts shouldn’t have an age limit. It should be a fun activity for all ages, children, teens, young adults and even elderly people, if they want to participate.
