For those who live and breathe the spooky season, it is time to start putting costumes together. Be honest, every year people create costumes looking forward to Halloween but end up grabbing the same cat ears and pirate hat year after year. It is never too early to start planning a genius, eye-catching Halloween costume.
“[Halloween] is fun. Creating a costume that will get attention and laughs. It makes all Halloween hangouts more exciting,” said junior Grayson Bruch.
Here are some of the most unique and classic costumes that are sure to get some compliments, starting with some women’s costumes ideas.
According to cosmopolitan.com, first on the list is “’Princess of Genovia’ [from The Princess Diaries]. Recreating this iconic look from the movie is as simple as finding a white dress, throwing on some black sunnies, and asking your mom for her old Walkman. Don’t forget the tiara, of course.”
Next, are western-themed costumes. Throw on a pair of cowboy boots and a favorite cowboy hat, with some other cowgirl accessories to create an old-fashioned costume that won’t break the bank and is bound to get compliments.
“Halloween is so fun to dress up,” said sophomore Maddie Vallez. “I love putting together an exciting outfit.”
For men, costumes seem to come easier. Dress up as a movie character, for example, put on some aviator glasses and either grow or find a mustache to become Pete Mitchell from Top Gun Maverick.
Lastly, couples Halloween costume ideas. Couples find a costume that has two parts such as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce or the Flintstones.
All in all, putting together a costume is a fun time. Don’t procrastinate and put together a costume that will be enjoyed.
