Although its only February, 2026 has already brought plenty of new music from various artists, like A$AP Rocky, Bruno Mars, Megan Moroney, Ye and more.
In January, A$AP Rocky released his long-awaited album, ‘Don’t Be Dumb’, which showed success by bringing in over 78 million streams in the week of its release. Rolling Stone Magazine’s Mosi Reeves said the album takes a lot of shots at his rivals, specifically Drake. Overall, the album is fun, and I enjoy listening to it.
Later in January, Don Toliver dropped his long-awaited album, ‘OCTANE, which included features from other artists such as Travis Scott, Yeat, Teezo Touchdown and more.
Toliver said to GQ that the album makes him feel like he’s taken to another world when listening to it.
“This new music is very intentional,” Toliver said to GQ. “Every time I jump in my car, I get to play that album, it makes me feel like I’m playing GTA V.”
Moving on to February, Megan Moroney is expected to drop her album, ‘Cloud 9’, this month. Which is said to be in the top 15 most anticipated albums of 2026, per Rolling Stones. The album is so anticipated that when Moroney announced her ‘Cloud 9 Tour’ on December fourth, 2025, roughly 130,000 were in the queue to buy tickets for the tour.
All in all, 2026 has begun with some great music releases and seems to promise some great ones in the near future as well, influencing people to wonder if 2026 will surpass 2025 based on the music that is released.
