Senior Michael Stebel is one of the outstanding student athletes within Eagle High. He embodies the student first mentality that teachers love to see.
“I have always put schoolwork first, even when it comes to busy weekends with friends, family and sports,” Stebel said.
Stebel has maintained above a 4.0 GPA his whole high school career, until recently. He has an accumulative weighted GPA of 3.94 through his first semester of his senior academic year.
Stebel has also taken many rigorous courses including AP Biology, AP Calculus, which he is currently taking, as well as many college courses. He always tries to make the most out of his time in class.

“I always want to get as much work done in class as possible, so I can have the least amount of homework possible,” Stebel said.
Stebel emphasizes how important school is to him through his priorities. School is always first and it definitely has paid off. He has a full ride scholarship to Arizona State University and has been admitted to Michigan State, University of Arizona and others. He still has not decided where he will attend.
Stebel also takes on the role of athlete at Eagle High. He is on the varsity baseball team and is an outstanding hitter. On defense, Stebel is a first and third baseman. His teammates look up to him as he is a senior leader.
All in all, Stebel is an academic weapon as well as an athlete at Eagle High. He knows how to get work done in school and on the baseball diamond. But this is not his whole identity, as he is a great person outside of his amazing grades.
