Teacher Matthew Miller teaches multiple classes at Eagle High and strives to make them easy to understand. His students say his classes are fun and engaging.
Miller started teaching math in 2023 at Eagle High.
He began his career after graduating from Boise State University. He got a major in mathematics, a minor in physics and an emphasis in secondary education.
Miller teaches freshman and juniors at Eagle High. He teaches math and Avid, and his students say they are always excited to come to class.
“I always enjoy coming to math class because Mr. Miller makes it educational while also fun,” said junior Mia Holcroft.
Along with being a teacher, Miller also coaches lacrosse at Eagle High, and he has been coaching for eight years.
Miller coached lacrosse in Spokane, Washington, then moved to Idaho and began coaching at Boise High. He now coaches for the boys’ lacrosse team at Eagle High.
Miller is an adventurous and outgoing person according to his lifestyle. He played lacrosse at Boise State University for four years. He loves to ride his bike in the foothills. He also loves to backpack.
Another thing Miller enjoys is cooking. He can make very tasty chicken alfredo. While he cooks, he likes to drink a white Monster energy drink.
“I love cooking and hanging out with my friends,” Miller said. “A perfect weekend for me includes making good food and spending time with my friends.”
Miller also has three pets. He has two dogs named Gina and Ahsoka, and a cat named Milk.
“I love my pets and I love taking Gina and Ahsoka on walks,” Miller said.
Miller is a positive teacher according to his students and they enjoy to be taught by him.
