With more fast-food spots opening nearby, students are eating at many new places, but when it comes to french fries, they are firm in their opinion about the best place to get them.
“Chick-fil-A has the best fast food french fries for sure,” said sophomore Cameron Boyle.
Boyle believes that Chick-fil-A is the home of the best fries because of the crispy texture and how they are perfectly salted. He also appreciates that they are waffle fries so they are different from other restaurants.
Texture is a major factor when deciding where to get the best fries with some students believing a soggy and mushy texture is best while others prefer a crunchier and crispier fry.
“I like crunchier french fries and that is why I like Chick-fil-A the best because they are usually pretty crunchy,” said senior Chase Chamberlin.
Another way students decide what their favorite fast food french fry is, is by what they can dip their fries in whether, it be a signature sauce or a nice, sweet treat.
“I like Wendy’s french fries the best because you can get a frosty on the side and then you can dip the fries into the frosty, and it tastes really good,” said senior Joey Younes.
“Chick-fil-A sauce also makes the fries taste way better and different from other fast-food places so that’s another reason why I like them the best,” Chamberlin added.
Some students like to have a variety of textures and tastes when it comes to their fries. Junior Adeline Cranford shares that her favorite fast-food fry.
“McDonalds because sometimes the fries are soggy, and sometimes the fries are crispy, so you never know what you are going to get,” said junior Adeline Cranford.
Though students have different favorites, the saltiness, texture and dip they use, are all things that they consider when choosing their number one fast food french fry.
Overall, Chick-fil-A seems to be a student favorite when it comes to french fries, but some students would disagree, making this a debate that students will probably never be able to settle.
