With spring approaching, many students at Eagle High are beginning to devise their plans for Spring Break, whether that means spending time with family on a vacation to another country or spending time at home with friends.
Junior Drake Strand is staying home for most of Spring Break saying he’s actually looking forward to it.
“This year I plan to stay home for break,” Strand said. “I’m excited to be able to hang out with my friends and play baseball rather than go on vacation for the whole break.”
Strand also said that he plans to go camping during break with some friends.
“My friends and I are going camping for a few days during break too,” Strand said. “We’re going to Oregon and camping in the forest, so I’m very excited to do that as well.”
Unlike Strand, Junior Tommy Stevens said that he plans to go to the Caribbean over break. He said that he and his family, along with his friend are going to many of the islands during the break.
“We’re going to the Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos for the whole week, and I’m very excited, ‘cause I’ve never been,” Stevens said.
While there, Stevens said that he plans to do many activities that he can’t do at home in Idaho.
“We’re going to go snorkeling, zip lining and scuba diving when we’re there, and I never really get to do that, so it will be fun,” he said.
Whether it’s traveling to another country, or staying home with friends, students at Eagle are all excited for Spring Break. They’re looking forward to the opportunity to not worry about school and have fun for the whole week.
