As 2026 begins, students at Eagle High are reflecting on the previous year and sharing their opinions on the best album, from 2025.
Many new albums were released in 2025, some of the most known being, “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” by Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, “Hurry Up Tomorrow” by The Weekend and “Mayhem” by Lady Gaga.
Junior Bobby Campbell said that his favorite album of 2025 was by his favorite artist, Tame Impala.
‘“Deadbeat’ by Tame Impala had to be my favorite album that released in 2025,” Campbell said. “Tame is my favorite artist and has been for a while so I was really excited to hear his new album when it first came out.”
Campbell said that he was lucky enough to be able to attend the Tame Impala concert claiming it was an unreal experience, and it further heightened his love for the album.
“I went to the concert with my dad, and it sounded even better live,” said Campbell. “Being there in person and hearing it live was definitely way better than just listening to it through headphones.”
Junior Keaton Rust said that his album of the year was by Sabrina Carpenter, whose music he’s recently been enjoying.
“The best album of 2025 is ‘Man’s Best Friend’ by Sabrina Carpenter,” Rust said. “‘Goodbye’ from that album is super relatable, and the album overall is just great.”

Although both Rust and Campbell had some different choices for album the year for themselves, both could agree on the best album of all time. Both said that “The Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd was the greatest of all time when it came to albums.
Campbell said that he’s been listening to Pink Floyd a lot and has come to appreciate the album more than before.
“I’ve always liked Pink Floyd, but lately ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ has been one of my favorite albums,” he said. “I would even say it’s the best album of all time, since there aren’t many bad songs on it, and the way the songs flow into each other is very unique.”
Rust agreed with Campbell and said that the album is one of many genres he enjoys.
“The best album of all time is definitely ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ by Pink Floyd,” Rust said. “I listen to a lot of different music, but the older rock music is one of my favorites.”
Students at Eagle High have a diverse range of music and Campbell and Rust are just two of many examples of how unique and special the music taste is of students at Eagle High.
