As Christmas day is on its way, there are always exciting sports that take place. The NBA and NFL both have handfuls of games that take place on Christmas and give fans across the world something fun to look forward to during the day.
In the NBA, there will be five games that take place, meaning ten teams will play. The matchups are: “New York Knicks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angels Lakers vs, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks vs. Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets.” According to ClutchPoints.com.
There are four teams that play every year on Christmas, and according to Sports Illustrated, this includes “the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.”
Out of all five games, the most exciting ones are supposed to be the Lakers vs the Rockets, and reporter Colin Henniger explained why.
According to CBS sports, Henniger Wrote. “But this is Christmas in the National Basketball Association. We need star power, and this game is dripping with it… It will be Lebron James vs. Kevin Durant, what else do you need for a marquee holiday match up,” Henniger wrote on CBS sports.
The NBA has a bunch of great-looking games, and fans can’t wait for them. In the NFL on Christmas there will be three games, and all three are divisional matchups.

The matchups will be: “Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos,” According to CBS Sports.
Fans can only watch these games on Netflix and Amazon Prime, and these NFL games are all crucial for the season. They can affect playoff hopes and can change divisional rankings, making them very important for fans.
