Near Eagle High, Sodalicious has said goodbye to its Eagle location and made way for the new Salt and Light Coffee shop on State Street.
At first locals and students were skeptical, the shop has been blown many away.
“Their outdoor decorations and lights are super cute. Plus, they have lots of options to choose from on the menu,” said junior Keiser Birch.
Salt and Light offers seasonal drinks to try for fall, including a pumpkin spice latte and peach cobbler matcha.
Right next door is Janet’s Café, which is characterized by it’s cozy interior, and quaint breakfast dine-in experience.
“I went with some friends and got an omelet, which was so so good,” said senior Keiser Birch.
The other menu options are also highly reviewed and recommended by Eagle High students like Freshman Sadie Kelson.
“The strawberry waffle was so amazing when I went,” said Kelson.
Although it’s been out for a while, Black Rock Coffee on Chinden is still relatively new to the area and offers coffee and mixed energy drinks.
“I love going and getting a blended energy drink. My order was so good,” said Junior Vienna Perry.
The Eagle Swig, near Stella’s and Luxe Theatre also just opened on Oct 24. They offered free drinks and cookies to customers who came by on opening day. Swig offers flavored sodas, cookies, and other flavored drinks.
“I’ll definitely be coming back around to Swig soon. Their lines were super organized, and my order was so yummy,” Franks said.
While buying a cute drink or grabbing breakfast from Starbucks or Dutch is popular, trying out new cafés and coffee shops can be a great way to switch things up.
