Christmas is one of the most magical times of the year although gifts are not the purpose, students are excited and grateful for the gifts they received this Christmas season.
Christmas gifts give loved ones an opportunity to show their appreciation for their family and friends. Receiving gifts is also a fun part of the season, especially for Eagle High students that are always excited to elevate their style and lifestyle with new clothing, gift cards, gadgets etc.
For many teens, clothing is a big item on their wishlists. Clothes are both fun to receive and practical for everyday life.
“I got a sweater from my mom for Christmas, and it is really nice, and it was one of the things I really wanted,” said junior Joey Kelley.
Clothing may be a simple gift, but students like Kelley are still very excited to receive it.
Though clothing is common, others took a more practical route to what they gift their friends and family for Christmas.
“My favorite gift was a $75 gift card to Black Rock, which is may favorite drink place,” said junior Leighton Archer.
A gift card is a gift that keeps on giving. No matter where to, a gift card can last, which is a nice way to appreciate a gift longer. Archer can now go get drinks from her favorite coffee shop whenever she pleases, same goes for students who received gift cards to their favorite food, beverage or shopping place.
Last, but not least, some students received appliances which are great for those preparing for the future.
“I also got a Magic Bullet blender so that I can blend my protein shakes,” Kelley said.
New appliances are a great practical gift that students get daily use out of and love for a long time. Appliances will last many students into college and Kelley was happy to receive one that he had asked for.
Many students received all types of gifts, but one common theme was that students genuinely loved and appreciated their gifts that their loved ones bought them.
So, no matter what type of gift they got, students are excited and grateful for their new Christmas presents that they received this past season.
