Comedian star Shane Gillis is coming to Idaho and will be performing at Albertsons Stadium to a near sold out arena. Gillis is a well-known comedian who is currently on tour visiting Idaho, Oregon and New York.
Gillis started his comedy career around 2012 when he gained popularity for his humor. He was hired by SNL in September of 2019 but was fired just four days after because of controversial remarks he made.
According to Today, “Shane Gillis was fired from Saturday Night Live on September 16, 2019, just four days after being announced as a new cast member on September 12, 2019, due to controversy over his past racist remarks.”

Although this was a major setback for Gillis, he was able to bounce back and continue his comedy career. Since the setback, he has continued performing, hosting the Espies, had a hit show called “Tires” and his Netflix special called “Beautiful Dogs.”
“Beautiful Dogs” was an instant hit as fans across the world acknowledged his humor. This had led him to start gaining more popularity from newer fans, making him more of a hit.
According to Netflix, “This stand up premiered in 2023 and was well received, reaching top 10 in several countries.”
His other hit on Netflix, Tires, has also been a hit with fans loving it. The show is about an auto repair chain that is starting to go downhill. There are characters that make the show a success, and several of them are comedians.
According to IMB.com the comedians in Tires are “Shane Gillis, Steve Grebin, Stavros Halkias and Andrew Schulz.”
The comedian had almost sold-out Albertson stadium, and fans couldn’t wait for him to come to Idaho for the first time. His show is performing on Dec. 12 at 8:00pm and fans are excited to watch and laugh.
