While the snow starts to fall, and the weather gets colder, Hollywood has plans to keep its fans warm and fed all winter long. From “Zootopia 2” to “Tinsel Town” and “Lone Samurai”, there’s plenty to watch for as the season progresses.
This winter’s movies are already smashing it out of the park, with big box office numbers that only promise more growth throughout the season. “Zootopia 2”, a sequel to an already well-known movie, made almost 133.2 million dollars in total according to www.cinemaexpress.com, with more to come as it joins other anticipated movies this holiday season.
Other movies coming out later this month include “FNAF 2”, a highly anticipated horror sequel to the original “Five Nights At Freddy’s” movie that terrified audiences last year around this same time. They seem to have a highly known cast with Megan Fox playing the animatronic Toy Chica and famous Youtuber and internet gaming personality Matthew Patrick (AKA MatPat) voicing Toy Bonnie. Though it should be noted that MatPat made a cameo appearance as the diner waiter in the first movie.

“The second movie is definitely more horror type or horror-esq themes.” said senior Eclipse Hughes, who saw the movie at an early screening “Also, if you don’t know a lot about ‘FNAF’, don’t worry, it’s still a great movie,” they said “FNAF 2” is already beloved by “FNAF” fans and horror enthusiasts.
On Dec. 12, James Camerons third “Avatar” movie, named “Avatar: Fire and Ash”, is planned to release in theaters. There are already advertisements out online, and hype is building for this highly anticipated continuation in the “Avatar” series.
More movies are certainly on the way, and this is by no means an extensive list. But this winter movie season is shaping up to be one of the best ones yet as the air chills and snow speckles the ground.
