Quarterback Justin Fields is a former eleventh overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears and has been with them for three seasons.
Fields led the Ohio State Buckeyes to back-to-back college football playoff appearances for the first time in school history. However, the downside is he has not accomplished a whole lot on the Chicago Bears mainly because the Bears are rebuilding and not in great shape as of now.
“Fields is an exceptional quarterback but is not succeeding on the Bears with the current roster. He is good enough to be our QB1 as long as we build a solid team around him,” said Chicago Bears fan and junior at Eagle High Ryan Colvin.
Recently, Fields unfollowed the Chicago Bears on social media. Most people think this is because he wants to be traded or is expecting it.
“I believe the Bears will trade Fields but probably should not,” Colvin said.
The Chicago Bears hold the number one overall pick in the draft. There is a high chance that they could move on from Fields and draft USC star quarterback Caleb Williams. This is a huge decision for the Chicago Bears.
The Bears need to figure out whether they should take a chance on Williams or stick with Fields who has not been performing as well as he could and may not want to play for them any longer.
Fields is a highly skilled quarterback that is still very young and has so much potential. He could be good enough to stay but likely will be traded because he has underperformed in big moments of his career.
Fields could fall on a numerous amount of teams like the Steelers, Broncos, or Commanders. No matter what team he gets traded to, he will impact them greatly because of his high level of play.
