The Eagle High Choir had so much fun taking a break while on tour to do team bonding.

While Eagle High is known for their athletics and academics, they are also widely recognized for their incredible arts program. One of these arts programs is the Eagle High choir. They are a talented group of people that put in work to represent the school. There are different choir groups including Bel Canto, Bella Voce, Vocal Corps, Premium Blend and Sonous which are all led by teacher Seth McMullen. Vocal Corps and Bel Canto are both freshmen/sophomores non-audition, Premium Blend is the audition jazz choir, Bella Voce is the all-girls audition choir, and Sonous is the top audition choir.

Last month, the Eagle High Sonous Choir went on a tour known as the “Falls Tour” where they travelled to Idaho Falls, Idaho, Twin Falls, Idaho, Post Falls, Idaho, Spokane, Washington, Great Falls, Montana and Missoula, Montana.

“We stopped and sang with Madison High and two other high schools in Montana,” said senior Claire Bodily. “We also do fun activities like bowling and going to an indoor water park.” Being a member of choir is a memorable experience where one can showcase and improve their singing skills while also developing friendships and memories.

“Sonous tour was awesome,” said senior Autumn Stephenson. “It was so fun to be able to get to know everyone in a way that can only happen after being on a bus for four days together.”

Stephenson has been in choir all four years of high school and described it as a cool place to hang out with people and make new friends that have the same love for music. Many people believe that sports is the only way to be a part of a team in high school, but choir is one of the exceptions to that. One can make friends and form bonds that last all four years and beyond.

The tour was an overall success filled with amazing performances that will only strengthen the choir for their upcoming shows.

“We were able to work with so many amazing people and get our music to be performance ready,” Stephenson said. Eagle High’s Choir continues to show off their talent with their accomplishments and beautiful performances.
