Teacher Molly Bell teaches AP Biology, General Biology, Botany: Gardening and landscaping and Botany: Horticulture. Bell has been teaching for nineteen years total and teaching at Eagle High for eighteen

Bell explained that she teaches because she loves the subjects, and she enjoys teaching students about her interests in the hopes that they also enjoy them.

“I love the subjects that I teach. I love to share my love of them with my students,” Bell said. “Secondly, I love the people I work with, students and staff. I couldn’t imagine having to go to work and not being able to see my students and friends every day.”

Some of the interesting parts of Bell’s classes occur in her Botany class. She and the class host a plant sale in May. The students in the spring Botany class care for and sell the plants. Students in the fall class plant the seeds at the beginning of the year and go out to water them in the greenhouse throughout the semester. Bell also allows any staff and students to bring plants into the greenhouse during the winter when the weather is too cold. In the greenhouse, there’s a variety of plants from Craspedia flowers to Habanero peppers.

Though Bell enjoys teaching and spending time with staff and students, she also loves to spend her time at home with her family and in her own garden.

“I am a mom of two kids, so I run them around everywhere and I own a flower farm which keeps me busy in the spring, summer and fall.” Along with having her own flower farm, Bell also as many different animals.

“I have five goats, about thirty-five chickens, two labradors, three cats, one turkey and one goose.” Though Bells at home life is very interesting and eventful she enjoys working at a place where she can spread her love for her subjects to others.

Bell loves to teach about plants and genetics, and she enjoys the company of her staff and students. When the year comes to an end, she will be in the greenhouse selling English Lavender flowers at the plant sale in May.
