ASL Club 

ASL club is working on Poetry and Storytelling Night here at Eagle. They are also working to support the Deaf community in their Easter Egg Hunt for the Idaho Deaf Community. 

Band 

Band members have been preparing to perform at the Eagle High basketball games and are preparing for their music festival in March.  

BPA 

BPA competed in December. Junior Elliot Orton, junior Luke Ritter, junior Blake Scoresby and senior Braden Sweet placed fourth. These students will now compete in March in Downtown Boise against other qualifiers from the rest of Idaho.  

Drama Department 

The Drama Department will perform “Anastasia: The Musical” from Feb. 18 to Feb 21. 

FCCLA 

FCCLA had their first soft-serve ice cream cone sale at the beginning of January.  

German  

Eagle High’s German II and III classes will be visiting Bosie State University on Feb. 11 to attend the annual “Do Deutsch” event. This will give students the chance to speak German the whole day, participate in language labs and get to know more about the Boise State German department.  

Main Office 

On April 2, all juniors are scheduled to take the SAT, with the ability to opt out through a form in PowerSchool. The deadline to opt out of the SAT is Feb. 19.  

Sources of Strength 

This month, members of Sources of Strength are highlighting positive friends and how they can help tap into strengths. Throughout February, there will be more interactive ways to interact with positive friends like candy grams and pictures.  

Speech and Debate  

Members competed in the Blacksnake tournament at Idaho State University from Jan. 9 to Jan. 10. Junior Matthew Gilmore and junior Jacob Gilmore placed as semifinalists in Public Forum. Junior Eagan Brown was the semifinalist in Radio Broadcast. Freshman Payton Chestnut placed as a semifinalist in Novice Congressional Debate Super Session. Senior Johnny Zhang was the quarterfinalist in Open Lincoln Douglas.
