Eagle High students share their enthusiasm about their cars

Junior Halen Keep plans to add many more modifications to his Audi and customize it to his liking. He already has added a tune and exhaust and plans to get a downpipe in the near future.

When looking at the Eagle high parking lot, people may not notice just how many unique cars students own.

Many of the cars at Eagle High consist of Jeeps, Toyota Tacoma’s, Toyota 4Runners and more. However, one car company that is a little less common on the lot is Audi. Although not everyone has the same passion for cars, students who take advantage of the ability to modify the cars often times do.

Senior Tyler Forkner states that after owning his Audi s4 for roughly eight months, he loves everything about the car.

“I bought the car around eight months ago, and ever since buying it, I feel like I like the car more and more,” Forkner said.

Forkner also said that his favorite thing about the car is the ability to add his own modifications to it. In addition, he enjoys the fact that the car comes with a supercharger.

“I love that the s4 comes super charged,” he said. “I’ve added lot of stuff to the car to make it even better, but the most important modifications have been the dual pulley, intake and tune.”

Modifications like an intake, tune and dual pulley allow for an improved power and better engine performance, which is why these are some of the most common modifications people add to their cars.

Junior Halen Keep also owns an Audi, but unlike Forker, he owns an s5 which is similar to the s4 but has a different body style.

Keep said that the modifications he added have made the car a lot faster than it was when he first got it.

“I’ve added an exhaust, dual pulley, intake and tune to it so far,” Keep said. “It’s made it way faster than what it was when I first got it.”

Both Keep and Forker plan to continue to add modifications to their cars to make them not only more unique but more efficient as well.

Keep said that he plans to add a down pipe to his Audi, which will make the car even louder than it is.

“I ordered a down pipe a couple days ago,” Keep said. “I can’t wait to get it installed and make the car have burbles and be even louder than it is.”

The car culture at Eagle High seems to continue to grow as the years go on. It all depends on who truly knows the most about their car and who is the most dedicated to making it stand out.
