Many fans were looking forward to the new Marvel movie, but it has not lived up to expectations

Ant Man has been a fan favorite series for a while now. “Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” was being looked forward to by many fans, but sadly, it seems like it has not lived up to fan’s expectations.

The movie left fans with many questions regarding the plot. There were multiple points which did not make sense with the plot. At first viewers find out that Cassie Lang and Dr. Hank Pym are building a portal to the quantum realm. Janet Van Dyne immediately gets frustrated and breaks the device. She won’t tell anyone, and this leaves many of the characters angry.

“I was really hoping that the movie would be good because Ant Man is my favorite Marvel series but the movie did not live up to expectations,” sophomore Nathan Dutchover said.

Not long after all the characters get sucked into the quantum realm. They are forced to fend for themselves. It is later learned that there is a man who goes by the name Kang the Conqueror and he has taken over. Kang has taken many worlds in the comics and eventually gets banished to quantum realm.

Eventually, the heroes are forced to have to fight Kang. Kang has a powerful army and has defeated many revolutions. One questions fans had was why the villains became much weaker at the end of the film. At first, a character named M.O.D.A.K. was pretty much impossible to take down, but later in the movie he was taken down by the hero with no training at all. It left many fans puzzled and, more so, annoyed at the plot. This is one of many plot points that seemed as if they were rushed.

“The end didn’t really make much sense to me,” sophomore TJ Culpepper said.

Recently, it seems as if Marvel has not had the quality that their old movies had. Within the past year, many of Marvel’s films have left fans disappointed and wondering what was going on. Some fans are starting to wonder if the franchise is going to lose popularity due to the lack of quality. This is once again seen in “Ant Man” with the confusing story line and plot. Fans can only hope that Marvel.
