One of the funniest, most brilliant and loved shows is getting a revival on Disney+. “Phineas and Ferb,” a show about two brothers who spent their summer building crazy rides and inventions with their friends, is getting 40 new episodes on Disney+ in early 2024. The show was very popular in the early 2010s and it has been watched and loved by many since the show ended in 2014.

“Hearing that it [‘Phineas and Ferb’] is coming back brings back so many memories of watching it while growing up,” said senior Justin Maas. “I loved it growing up and this makes me feel very nostalgic.”

The whole fan base has been rejuvenated since this announcement. People can’t wait for the new episodes to come out. Because this show had such a great impact on kids growing up, the fans are getting ready for the upcoming seasons, even though it’s a long time away.

“Who wouldn’t be excited about ‘Phineas and Ferb’ coming back,” said senior Noah Skeesuck. “I cannot wait to watch the rest of this magnificent show.”

But what made the show so popular? The show had memorable characters, great plots and was extremely unique. There is no other show on Earth where the “B-story” (less important, second story) is about a crime fighting platypus and his nemesis, the evil Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz creating very inelaborate evil schemes against the people of Danville.

“Some of the characters really made the show,” Skeesuck said. “My favorite was Baljeet, the extremely smart, school-loving kid on the show.”

Other students at Eagle High love the characters as well. Seniors Landon White and Brecken Hardy’s favorite character is Ferb, seniors Ian Duarte, Jake Mortimer and Catcher Lofthus love Perry the Platypus. Senior Kall Renner’s favorite is Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and senior Alexa Arlint loves Isabella.

Although many fans are excited about the show, the long period of time since the last episode raises some questions for the new season.

“How much time will go by from the end of the finale? Because the finale from the last season was the last day of the summer,” said senior Steven Holsinger. “I would also hope they don’t change much and keep it the same. I would really like it if they continued what they did from the end and have the same plotline.”

Although the new season is a while away, many people are very excited about the new season of “Phineas and Ferb.”
