There is no clear winner of the 2022 World Series
Fans are ready for their favorite teams to compete in the MLB Playoffs.

At first glance one may say the Dodgers have the best chance at winning the World Series but that might not be the case. There are a few teams that have strong chances at a World Series for a number of reasons. In this article we will look at why certain teams might be able to take the World Series trophy.
Currently the Dodgers’ regular season record is sitting at 98-50. They have the best record in the MLB and have clinched their division. They are led by an offense that consists of MVP candidate Mookie Betts who has a batting average of .275 with 34 homers and 77 RBIs.
“The Dodgers are going to win the World Series because they have the best record right now and are winning a bunch of games,” said sophomore JW Bryan. Another favorite to win the World Series is the New York Yankees. The Yankees are led by the slugging OF Aaron Judge. Judge is the current favorite for the AL MVP. Currently, Judge is leading MLB with 57 homers. He is just a few homers from breaking the AL homerun record.
“Aaron Judge will lead the Yankees to a World Series this year,” said sophomore Nathan Dutchover. The Yankees have one of the best offenses in all of baseball. Two things they lack is pitching and playoff experience. The Yankees’ pitching staff is what will lose them games.
Although both these teams have good chances winning a World Series, there is a dark horse team. The Houston Astros have a good chance at a World Series win along with the Yankees and Dodgers. The Astros have an explosive offense that can put up runs quickly, and a very strong starting pitching rotation with two Cy Young Award candidates. Justin Verlander currently is 16-3 with a 1.84 Earned run average.
The Astros’ second starting pitcher is Framber Valdez who has 26 quality starts in a row. This is one game off the record for most quality starts in a row. The Astros are also starting to heat up and it could not be at a better time. These are the three teams that have the best chance to make a run in the playoffs and potentially win the World Series title.
