Idaho Youth Ranch is a very cheap and affordable thrift store. They are located in Eagle, Meridian, Boise and Nampa. Idaho Youth Ranch sells clothing, shoes, furniture etc.
“I love shopping at Idaho Youth Ranch; everything is so cheap and good quality,” said junior London Bree. “I go there all the time and get cool shoes.”
Another popular thrift store in downtown Boise is Uptown Cheapskate. This thrift store is very popular for their old and spunky style.
“I shop at Uptown Cheapskate because my style is unique. I feel like and that is the only thrift store that gives those options,” said freshman Taya Uhlman.
Ross is not considered a thrift store but is another option for cheaper items. Ross gives people the chance to shop for not just clothing, but for furniture and bedding for homes. Ross is in Garden City, Meridian, Nampa and Boise.
One of the other most popular thrift stores is Plato’s Closet located in downtown Boise and Nampa. Plato’s biggest shoppers are teenagers according to google and the individuals who are interviewed.
“I go to Plato’s Closet every single weekend and every time I am there, I only see people my age or around it. I love to go here because they have a variety of options,” said junior Cole Weber.
The last place might not be considered a thrift store but contains the items of a local thrift store. Marshalls is in Meridian, and their store focuses on kitchenware and home furniture sold for a very decent price compared to other stores.
There are many affordable local thrift stores that are within Boise. These options are well known and very popular to get creative inventory.
