As the weather gets colder and leaves start to fall from the trees, students are getting excited for Halloween. This year, many are planning unique and creative costumes, whether they’re going trick-or-treating around the neighborhood or going to Halloween parties.
Junior Roman Garcia shares that he is going to wear an all-black outfit with a scary mask.
“I was inspired to do this costume because last year I wore a scary mask and made a little girl cry. I thought it was funny, so I want to do it again,” Garcia said. “Me and my friend are going to set up a haunted house in his garage and scare little kids. If the kids make it all the way through, we give them candy.”
Next, junior Wes Anderson said he wants to dress up as a banana.

“I want to be a banana because I’m just hungry all the time, and I eat a lot so, I thought I would dress up as something I’m passionate about: food,” Anderson said. He says that he and a group of friends are all going to dress up as different food items, go trick-or-treating and go to a Halloween party.
“I’ll probably get my costume from Spirit Halloween or Amazon, wherever has the best-looking banana costume,” Anderson said.
Lastly, senior Tayler Archer shared that she wants to dress up as “Star Wars” characters in a couple’s costume with junior Joey Kelley.
“I would be Padme and Joey would be Anakin,” Archer said. “We love ‘Star Wars;’ it’s our favorite movie series.”
Students are excited to wear their unique and popular costumes this Halloween season. With spooky and scary ideas, it’s clear that students are getting creative this year. As they prepare for parties, trick-or-treating and haunted houses, students are getting into the Halloween spirit.
