As the fall season arrives, so do a handful of fun autumn activities. The transition from summer to fall can be hard for some people, with a change of weather and activities creating a new mood. Chilly air and colorful leaves on the ground call for indoor activities with friends like fall baking, haunted houses and binging scary movies.
“Scary movies are my favorite part of fall; they give me a thrill that I had waited all summer for. Going out with friends to a pumpkin patch in the cold and then to watch a scary movie sounds like a perfect fall day to me,” said senior Abbey Shipp.
“My favorite scary movie to watch is ‘Black Phone’. They are coming out with the second one this October, I am so excited,” said Shipp.

The atmosphere that is created in the fall is unlike most, bringing people closer together to attend fall activities. Prime baking happens during the fall, incorporating flavors like nutmeg, pumpkin and cinnamon. Some of the most loved fall treats are apple pie and pumpkin cookies. Starbucks is great at incorporating these seasonal flavors in their pastries and drinks. Their pumpkin drinks have been a hit with fall lovers.

“Fall is my favorite season! A yummy treat is all I need to deal with the cold weather. Going to Starbucks to get a fun pumpkin drink is the highlight of the season for me,” said senior Bella Thompson.
“Baking is so fun to do with my friends and family, I can’t wait to get back into it this fall” said Thompson.
Making the most out of the cold temperatures can be tricky, but being around loved ones is a great way to help with that.
With all of the fun ways to celebrate the change of fall, it brings a light mood to the new season. Making the darker, shorter days filled with happiness.
