Changing leaves, cooler temperatures and the spirit of Halloween are all hallmarks of fall. And with a new season comes a fresh lineup of movies.
Since fall is so closely tied to Halloween, scary movies naturally take the spotlight this time of year. Kicking off the season, on Sept. 12, a thrilling horror story from Stephen King hit the big screen: “The Long Walk.”
Rotten Tomatoes describes the movie as “an intense, chilling and emotional thriller that challenges audiences to confront a haunting question: how far could you go?” According to IMDb, the film earned a solid 7.4 out of 10. This movie is perfect for fans of Stephen King’s novels or anyone who enjoys horror in general.

Shifting away from horror, also on Sept. 12, “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” was released. This movie continues the popular “Demon Slayer” TV series and will be split into three parts. Upon release, it quickly smashed records, grossing over $507 million, making it the most successful anime movie of all time. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Demon Slayer earned a 98% score from both critics and audiences. The film is praised for its stunning animation, action-packed fight scenes and emotional storytelling.

Lastly, on Sept. 26, the action-comedy “One Battle After Another” premiered. Inspired by the 1990 novel, “Vineland” and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, the film was met with great reviews.
