Here at Eagle High, senior parking spots have been a time-honored tradition and a fun way to make the senior’s last year in high school more special. Senior parking spots are painted spots specific to a senior that no other students are allowed to park in. The seniors are able to choose their spot location and school appropriate design for a fee of $75.
During the summer, seniors spend their time being as creative as they want to be. Many students put in long days and nights to paint their inspiration on the ground.

“I spent like four whole nights on my spot because I put so much effort into it,” said senior Emma Hubinger.
Hubinger’s senior spot is bright pink with some decorative lighter pink swirls. It also has her name in black.
“This design is special to me because pink is my favorite color and it really represents me as a person,” Hubinger said.
Many students at Eagle High chose their designs based on their favorite color or some coordinate their spots with friends. Having significant meanings to one’s spot can make it even more original and custom to the student.
“My spot is a medium shade of pink with different monochromatic pink spray-painted hearts,” said senior Meredith Judge. “I’m matching with my best friend Ava Shipp.”

Like Hubinger, Judge’s spot took lots of time and effort, but she had some help along the way.
“It took me about 10 minutes until I delegated and passed the work along to Easton Gothberg,” Judge said. “He was a faster painter than me.”
Painting a senior parking spot can be an exciting activity, but most students can agree it sure is a big amount of work.
With the new school year up and running and the parking lot an array of colors, the seniors are sure to have a great final year. Some seniors may have matching spots, funny spots or spots with a special meaning to them. All of the senior parking spots convey hard work and showcase the unique personalities at Eagle High.
