The persuit of academic excellence may be hard, but the end result is worth it. Challenges may come, but proving to oneself it is possible to can keep one going is important.
Eagle High junior Wilder Orm is striving to be his best self academically and persevere even when things tough. Orm is taking multiple classes to enhance his intelligence this year.
“I am taking college algebra, college forensics and AP chemistry,” Orm said.
Orm is determined to take this year by storm, and he has already started his year of strong with studying and staying on top of his workload.
“I study at least one hour a night,” Orm said.
Junior year can be difficult, but having supportive teachers can be very helpful. Orm hopes to earn a high GPA and pass the AP chemistry test. Orm said his AP chemistry teacher Nathan Vital has been very helpful and supportive of him and his goals.
“I love challenging myself. It’s much more rewarding than taking regular classes,” Orm said.
Goals can be very helpful and Orm has set multiple nor this school year. Orm is confident in his academic potential and wants to prove to himself that he is capable of achieving his academic goals.
“I took AP chemistry to prove to myself that I could. It is hard but not as hard as you’d think it would be,” Orm said.
Orm feels taking difficult classes may be hard but that it will be worth it. He believes it will help prepare him for college and he wants to put his best foot forward.
This year, Orm will continue to strive to be his best and challenge himself. It won’t be easy, but Orm is goal-oriented and his mindset and academic strengths are tools that will help him to succeed.
