This past summer was full of music with some big hits coming to the valley. Artists such as Post Malone, Riley Green and The Lumineers came to the Boise area, fans and Eagle High students alike headed to these events.
Thirty-six thousand people attended Malone’s concert making it the highest-grossing single day event in Idaho history.
The concert took place on July 10 at the Extra Mile Arena. Known for a blend of genres like hip-hop, pop and rock, Malone performed many of his big hits. These hits included “Circles” and “Rockstar”. The concert drew a large crowd with many Eagle High students in attendance.
“Post Malone’s concert was awesome, there was so much energy in the stadium,” said senior Carter Ditlove. “The crowd made it great. Everyone was into the music.”
Later that same month, country artist Riley Green performed on July 24 at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater. The setlist included his well-known song, “There Was This Girl.”
“Green first gained his passion for country music from his grandpa,” According to kicks99.com. “He really gave me the passion for country music, especially the traditional story-telling country music, he said.”
To finish the summer 2025, the Lumineers brought their “Automatic World Tour” to Boise at the Extra Mile Arena. The show began at 7:30 p.m. mdt and featured British singer-songwriter Tom Odell as a special guest.
According to idahostateman .com, “This performance marked The Lumineers’ return to Boise after nearly a decade. Their last concert in the city was in 2013.”
“The summer concerts this year were so fun, me and my friends loved it,” said senior Pressley Deck.
These music events highlighted a busy season of live music for the community.
