As Fall sports begin to start, there’s always a roar in the crowd that people are hearing. That noise is the Eagle High Stang Gang. The Stang Gang is a group of seniors that were picked by the school administration.
They were given the role as the hype man, and their job is to excite the student section during games with chants, cheers and a good time. The Stang Gang is also trying to make sure the student section is respectful, responsible and inclusive by not leaving anyone out.
“That students are being respectful and being there to cheer and have fun, responsible, and the main goal is to make sure everybody is having fun and being included and being loud,” said Stang Gang leader and senior Ozzie Faulk.

Although the crowd has to be respectful and responsible, it doesn’t mean that the crowd can’t get loud and excited. The Eagle High student section is known for being a loud and crazy place to be, always loud chants and a crazy crowd. One of the big focuses senior Wyatt Hair had was to make sure the crowd was being loud and crazy, but being safe as well.
“We want a very safe enviromint for people to join but a very loud and crazy section trying to be the number one student section,” Hair said.
When people think of Eagle High sports people often tend to think of one to two sports, but there are so many more that need to be recognized and supported. One of Faulks’ main focuses was supporting every sport that Eagle High has and to be there for every athlete when it’s their big moment.
“A big focus is not just focusing on football but making sure every team sport has people there. Most members have played sports and understand what it’s like having someone in your corner,” Faulk said.
The new seniors this year are excited and ready to take on the challenge of being the Stang Gang. The group is full of excited seniors like Ozzie Faulk, Indie Taylor, Wyatt Hair, Bella Thompson, Paxton Modjeski, Rebecca Gabriele, Presley Deck, Sophie Carr, Ray Gauthier and Audrey Baxter. This is one of the largest Stang Gangs to date, and they are all pumped to take on the challenge of it.
