As Eagle is expanding, new restaurants are being built. Students are thrilled to have their favorite food chains just a few minutes away. In the next coming months, Panera and Chick-fil-A are opening in Eagle.
“The new Panera opens on Sept. 17,” said senior Aj Castinetti.
Castinetti has been working at the Meridan location since July 2025.
The new Panera is on the corner of State Highway 44 and Edgewood Lane. Along with Panera, the new Chick-fil-A is opening at this same location as well.
“I’m just glad we finally have a Chick-fil-A close enough to school,” said junior Kyleigh Plaisted. “So now I don’t have to worry about being late. Since the Meridian Chick-fil-A is so far.”
These new restaurants are approximately 10 minutes from Eagle High, which is a convenient drive for students.
“I like the new location because it’s closer to my house, and near the gym, so after I work out, I can quickly stop by,” said junior Milly Mitchell.
The Chick-fil-A is yet to have an opening date but is planned to open soon. This restaurant is a hot spot for many students.
“My go-to Chick-fil-A order is mac and cheese and grilled nuggets and a lemonade,” Mitchell said.
Most students are anxious and excited for two of their favorite fast-food restaurants to open so close to their homes. Whether students go to Panera and visit Castinetti while he’s on shift, or they go to Chick-fil-A and try out Mitchell’s favorite order, they will enjoy the new restaurants.
