Senior Assassin is a popular game played by seniors at Eagle High. This game is a competitive activity that seniors love to do in their final weeks of high school. Players form teams of three and compete against each other to eliminate their targets by shooting them with water guns and capturing a video of the “kill” for evidence. Each team of three is assigned another team of three to eliminate, and they have one week to eliminate them. If they fail to eliminate their targets, or they are eliminated in the span of the week, then that team is out.
Senior Dag Smith, oversees the entire game. He receives the video evidence and decides if the film is sufficient evidence to deem the suspect as “killed,” or out of the game. Smith also decides on the daily “safe item.” If a member of the game is wearing a safe item, then they are immune from the water guns, and cannot be killed. This rule applies unless Smith, the leader, calls a “purge.” During a purge, there are no safe items, and everyone’s locations can be seen on the app, “Splashin.” Some examples of safe items are floaties, Hawaiian shirts, flipflops, swim flippers and a snorkel mask.
There are some other rules in the game of Senior Assassin. These rules are stated and posted by Smith on the Instagram page, ehs_senor_assassin_2025. Smith posts daily on this Instagram account to give the players updates on rules, safe items, kills of the week and more. Some of the rules include the following:
- Location will always be off unless it is during the purge.
- You need video evidence of the kill, and any controversial kill will be decided by [Smith], if you argue, you are out.
- The last time to get targets out is 8 p.m. on Sunday.
- You can shoot inside houses or garages when doors are open but cannot enter.
- Front yards are open for attacks, including driveways.
- Backyards are not open for attacks.
- Parents may not help the target in any manner.
- Eagle High campus is off limits until 4:30 p.m. only on school days.
- The purge will be for one hour every day, immunity items will not protect you.
- You can surrender but it must be on video.
Senior Assassin has a lot of rules, therefore, it takes a lot of strategy.
“The most important strategy is to work with other teams,” said senior Kylie Loucks. “Sharing information is better than just trying to do it all yourself.”

In week one of the games, Loucks was working, and the people who had her as a target were camping outside of her work, waiting for her to leave so that they could eliminate her on her way to her car. To counter their plan and attack, Loucks messaged the people that are targeting the people who are targeting her, so that they could eliminate the hunters of Loucks, making Loucks have an easier trip to her car. Strategies like this are important if teams wish to move on to the next round/week.
