Senior Nathan Williams exemplifies a true student athlete. Balancing the demand of varsity in football, basketball and maintaining a 4.0 GPA is not easy. William’s commitment is evident in what he accomplishes. Whether on the field or in the classroom, William’s commitment can be aspired by many.
Williams has been a key player on the football team and a senior leader. He plays defensive end, a position that requires correct execution and no fear. Williams has signed to attend University of Idaho and play football after serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ Church Latter Day Saints.
Williams not only plays varsity football but basketball as well where he plays forward and center. Williams is a dynamic athlete who brings size, strength and speed to his game. His work ethic and positive attitude has made him an important contributor in everything he does.
Despite his athletic ability, Williams also maintains a 4.0 GPA, not an easy task for a busy athlete. He has proven that dedication to academics is just as important as his athletic pursuits.
“I’ve learned that athletic discipline goes hand in hand with academics, learning to work hard even if you may not feel like it is a very important trait,” Williams said.
Managing football, basketball and schoolwork is not easy feet, but Nathan has learned to do it all.
William’s achievements are a great testament to what can be achieved with hard work, discipline and determination. His ability to excel in the classroom and on the field is a perfect example for all students.
