Many students at Eagle High give their all so they can succeed in school. They try their hardest and give their best effort in everything they do. One great example at Eagle High is sophomore McKinley Boehler. Boehler demonstrates a great role model for students because she exceeds in academics while staying positive and keeping her head up.
“I do consistently keep good grades. I keep my assignments organized, communicate with my teachers when I miss school and I try to manage my time well while doing homework,” Boehler said.
Boehler believes that communication and good time management are very important to keep her grades up, and she believes that other students should prioritize the same things to help them do better in school.
“My tips for students who may be struggling are: don’t be afraid to ask for help if you’re struggling to understand a concept and put away all distractions such as your phone and other devices,” Boehler said.
Boehler recently had to transfer from Canyon Ridge High in Twin Falls, Idaho to Eagle High and she shared what that experience was like for her.
“The transition from moving to Eagle was rough and is something I’m still transitioning from. I’m so grateful for the people here who have blessed my life. Some downsides from the move have been missing my friends and family from Twin Falls and I was very close to them so I tend to miss them a lot,” she said.
Boehler is still trying to adjust to the change between schools since she came to Eagle High on Sept. 17, 2024, but she is thankful to the friends she’s made here at Eagle High that have helped make the change a bit easier.
Between managing a big move and keeping up with school, Boehler is doing a great job. Students can look up to her and learn from the advice that she has for students overwhelmed by the pressure of school. Students who are dealing with a big change can also be inspired by Boehler’s story and rest assured that they are not alone in trying times.
