The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) club at Eagle High was started in September of 2024. It strives to help students at Eagle High take a bigger step in their faith by promoting character building, teamwork, integrity and service through sports.
“Everyone is welcome, athlete or not,” said one of the club advisors Austin Rogerson. “We felt Eagle High needed a place for Christians, or those who want to talk about their faith.”
The club is run by Rogerson and co-advisor Joe Gossi. Rogerson explained senior students Macy Marg, Aiden Niehaus, Savannah Bub and junior Noah Gingg are also very involved in helping to run the club.
“This club means a lot to me as a follower of Christ,” said Junior Noah Gingg. “I think it’s super important to spread the gospel and all the good things He’s done for us.”
The FCA is very open about their beliefs and loves to share with others in and out of the school setting.
“We decided to start up Fellowship of Christian Athletes club to build a supportive community where students could grow in their faith with a connection to sports,” Rogerson said.
This club meets weekly during lunch in room E103. The group is growing fast at school and helping students to connect to one another in a great way.
