As Christmas comes up fast, the snow starts to fall and the Christmas spirit starts to kick in. Many wonder what to give as a gift, although some are not sure what they are wanting for the holiday. Eagle High students give their ideas of what they want for the best gift guide.
Many Eagle High students have said that they want jewelry. Jewelry is a fun way for students to express themselves along with their clothes. Some brands of jewelry that are inexpensive include Evry Jewels and En Route.
“Well, it helps express outfits,” said sophomore Chaz Fritel. “The different textures patterns, and colors can add something to an outfit that clothes can’t.”
Clothes are a must when it comes to Christmas gifts. Clothes may seem simple, but they help others express their own sense of style.
When it comes to completing an outfit, shoes are the key and they make a great gift. There are many brands that are popular right now. Adidas are a good gift as they are in style. Nike, Converse, Uggs, Birkenstocks and Doc Martins are great choices when buying shoes.
Records are also a top choice for students. Many like to use the records in their record players, but some like to hang them up as décor as well. Since records can be used for many different things. They show what type of music the person is into.
A great gift to go with records is a record player. Most people don’t have one since phones are a big way to play music nowadays. But having the music come out of a record player could be a good way to decompress from the electronics.
Some don’t want much for Christmas, some might even just want socks. Freshman Holden Weber is one students that only wants socks for Christmas.
“I just think socks are cool, they just complete the outfit,” Weber said. “That’s really all I want for Christmas.”
Books are a good idea for the readers in the family. Books can bring joy to many people. With love stories, thrillers and even non-fiction books, books can be a good present because they help tap into the mood of creativity.
Another creative gift is a camera. Many teens like to explore their creativity with photography. Students express their art through the photos they take. Freshman Lucas McClellan wants a camera for Christmas.
“I want a camera for Christmas. I want to start photography,” McClellan said.
Gift cards are always a wonderful gift to give. They give people the options to choose what they want. Gift cards for food, clothing brands and stores are great ones.
Although gifts are great, Teacher Shelli Taylor said that for Christmas, she wants one another to be kind.
“What I want for Christmas is for everyone to just be nice to each other,” Taylor said.
In all the Christmas spirit, being together as a family or friends is one of the best gifts that can be given. As gifts are great, quality time with family and friends is just as special.
