ASB
ASB planned their blood drive for Dec. 3 and the Winter Assembly that took place on Dec. 13. They are currently planning Battle of the Bolt with Owyhee High.
Band
Band will be performing at their Christmas Concert on Dec 17. They also have multiple practices for State Solo and Ensemble which will be in February.
BPA
In BPA, students are working on their projects and submissions. They are also taking part in the West Ada raffle fundraiser to help make money for them to attend Nationals. BPA hopes to qualify for State and to hopefully follow up with Nationals.
FFA
FFA will have their next meetings on Jan. 14 and Feb. 20 in SE207.
GSA
GSA met on Dec. 4, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18 during lunch to discuss the following topics: Healthy Conversations During the Holidays and Annual Christmas Gathering with treats and prizes.
GSA meets each Wednesday in S109 for lunch.
Key Club
Key Club ran their Food and Hygiene Product Drive for Eagle High students in need. The drive was from Dec. 9 to Dec. 13 and students will be rewarded with a donut for every four items that they donate.
Mathematics Invitational
Eagle High took two teams to the Fourth Annual Boise State Mathematics Invitational. Sophomore Porter Schrader won the Individual Test Category, Team Sum Σs took home second place in the Team Category.
NHS
NHS has been doing many community drives for organizations like Giraffe Laugh and the Ronald McDonald house. The students also helped with holiday events such as the Sources of Strength potluck and setting up the Meridian lights parade on Dec. 6.
Orchestra
Orchestra just finished up their Halloween Tour where they performed at various schools and an assisted living center where they were able to share their love of music and knowledge of instruments both younger and older generations. They also had their third Annual Halloween concert featuring a Harry Potter theme. Each year they play Christmas Carols at the local Eagle Albertsons. The Community will be able to spot them there every Friday night and Saturday mornings throughout December, playing for the community in this fun, festive way.
Speech and Debate
Eagle High’s Speech and Debate team will be traveling to a tournament, Blacksnake, in Pocatello, Idaho on Jan. 9.
