The month of October is known as the spooky season, and autumn events have appeared in everyone’s lives. “The Stampede” has covered various October excitements. Nevertheless, one of the most significant Halloween events Eagle High hosts is the annual Trunk or Treat.
The Eagle High Trunk or Treat involves games, trunks, candy and costumes. This event took place Oct. 28. Students have enjoyment participating in holiday events. Anyone can enjoy the event or volunteer. Mainly, school clubs host a trunk, although, many students decorate their own trunk to participate too. The event brings the community together and promotes school clubs. One of the various clubs that participated this year is the American Sign Language (ASL) club.
“I like walking around and seeing everyone’s themes and activities,” said junior Elisia Henry who is a cabinet leader of the ASL club. Henry hosted the club’s trunk with her car. Along with candy and fun decorations, the club will have a Disney trivia game for everyone to participate in. Decorating trunks is very important for this event to be enjoyable and unique.
Cars are adorned with unique and spooky décor. “Mainly the crowd consists of teachers, teacher’s kids, siblings and students” Henry explained. As students and families join in on the fun the night continues to create a lively event. This event attracts several people for Halloween. The event provides a chance to foster new connections in the community. This year, many were willing to come to contribute to this spooky event.
This event has become a community tradition and treasured by many. The memories created continue every year.
