Pumpkin spice lattes and falling leaves aren’t the only thing people are looking forward to this fall. The Treasure Valley is buzzing with exciting and unique artists in the upcoming season. From country to punk to alternative rock and indie artists, many concerts have traveled to Idaho to showcase their amazing music, giving students more opportunities to see their favorite artists.
Sept. 7 – Greensky Bluegrass at the Knitting Factory: This Bluegrass band has made number one of the Billboard Top Bluegrass Albums Chart twice and is ready to bring the same hard work and sublime music to Idaho. Their show at the Knitting Factory will give an unforgettable night.
Sept. 20 – Mason Jennings at the Neurolux Lounge: Continuing the season with amazing songwriter and storyteller, Mason Jennings brings his soulful music to the stage of the Neurolux Lounge. Having performed all around the nation he will give these folks a night to remember.
Sept. 26 – Celtic Thunder at the Morrison Center for Performing Arts: The Irish classic rock band Celtic Thunder will be their way rocking their way to the Morrison Center for Performing Arts. With their electrifying music and theatrical shows, they will have concert-lovers singing along to every song.
Oct. 1 – Foxing at the Olympic Venue: Indie-rock band Foxing takes the stage at Olympic Venue, showcasing their talent through melodramatic lyrics and fantastic tunes. Get ready for a night of soul-touching songs that will take everyone’s breath away.
Oct. 3 and 4 – Dylan Gossett at the Knitting Factory: The emerging talent, Dylan Gossett, will capture the stage at the Knitting Factory. Known for his deep melodies and country tunes, Gossett is sure to give a spectacular evening below the stars.
“I’m so excited to see him, I’ve been looking forward to this concert forever,” said junior Lila Webber.
Oct. 24 – Ashley Cooke at the Knitting Factory: Country singer Ashley Cooke is making her way to the stage at the Knitting Factory. Her lyrical songs will have anyone and everyone tapping and dancing along to her country music.
Nov. 4 – Allison Russell at the Egyptian Theatre: Canadian song writer Allison Russell brings her jazz, country and blues music charm to the stage at the Egyptian Theatre. Singer-songwriter and activist, Russell’s powerful songs will have listeners begging for more.
Nov. 9 – Chris Baron at The Sapphire Room: Award winning Chris Baron brings his soulful lyrics to the Sapphire Room. His deep lyrics and guitar skills will have his fans swaying through the night.
“He’s one of my favorite artists that not a lot of people know about,” Webber said. “Seeing him in person would be amazing.”
