Just Serve Club makes a difference at Eagle High and in the community

As the 2025-2026 school year commences here at Eagle High, the Just Serve Club starts to ramp back up. Although the club is active throughout the summer with various projects, the school year is the time when the most positive impact is made in the community. Just Serve is a service club with the main goal of making a positive difference in the Eagle community.

“Being a part of this club had made a huge impact in my life. I love being able to go out with my friends and help people, and we get to have a good time while doing it,” said senior and club secretary Allyson Godfrey.

There are over seventy members of Just Serve. Members include co-presidents and seniors Audrey Baxter and Evie Whiting, vice president and senior Lincoln Swenson, secretary and senior Allyson Godfrey, social media manager and senior Mary Richardson, treasurer and junior Bryn Beardall and photographer and sophomore Bek Allen.

They have been recently active in the community, participating in and helping other clubs grow as well. In March, members of Just Serve did a presentation on how to start a Just Serve club to over ten high schools at Twin Falls High. This presentation allowed these high schools to start and effectively participate in community service and outreach.

“We love our community. Our main goal at all times as a club is to give back to the community that most of us were raised in,” said junior Evie Whiting.

The club is currently hard at work. An event they are planning and will take part in soon is a Night of a Thousand Pumpkins, which will be a community event to look out for in October. A recent event they were involved in was 9/11 Day of Remembrance. At the event, families and friends gathered to remember the tragedy of 9/11 and to partake in a moment of silence. Just Serve Club provided lanterns to set into Star Pond to mark the night and to float prayers into the water in the forms of said lanterns. Club members often work with and collaborate with fellow Just Serve Clubs at Owyhee High and Rocky Mountain High.

“We are beyond excited to help others this year. It’s my senior year and I can’t wait to see where this club goes in the next ten years,” said senior Audrey Baxter.

One of many reasons Just Serve Club sets itself apart from other service clubs is how inclusive they are. They do not have a certain number of hours required like some clubs. They want everyone to help out in a way possible for them. Through love, admiration and empathy, these students continue to help others and spread a wave of positivity across Eagle High and beyond. Leaders and presidency of Just Serve Club stand after conducting a meeting in the Eagle High Library. They plan many events and fundraisers for the community planned for the months of Aug and Sept. Many of these members are newly elected and smile with the excitement of the opportunity to be part of this positive experience.
