Students are making the most of spring break this year

Spring break could be the only thing that motivates students to get through the third quarter. This is the time of year when the weather is finally starting to warm up and many students take trips or even spend their time resting and relaxing until school is back in session the next week. Many students from Eagle High have shared what they plan to do over their break prior to it happening.

“I am going to Tahiti for a few days and then we will fly to New Zealand and stay there until the 24th,” said sophomore Emily McAllister. McAllister and her family had big travel plans for the week of spring break. They travelled to another continent and enjoyed the sunshine on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean.

“I am super excited to see Hobbiton and going into a glow worm cave,” McAllister said prior to break.

Hobbiton is a location where a portion of all three of the movies in the trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings,” were filmed, and it is a very popular attraction in New Zealand. New Zealand is also known for its caves that are filled with a species of glowing worms that are native to the country.

Even though people travelled during spring break, some students chose to use their week to recuperate at home before school started again on March 24.

“I am staying home all break,” said sophomore Lily Towne before the vacation , “Spring break can be full of travelling and fun, but it can also be the time to relax and destress.”

Towne is absolutely right. It is perfectly okay to spend spring break at home, recovering from a long third quarter of school.

Spring break is perfect for travelling, staying at home and everything in between. It is a great opportunity to get a break from school and have some fun before the fourth quarter of the school year begins, bringing one final stretch of hard work before summer break.
