The best dates are amazing and can give people joy in life. The worst dates just make people think about what they did wrong and how to improve themselves for the next time. Eagle High students explained what their best and worst dates are.  

Many dates include going out to dinner and watching the sunset. Senior Alyssa Adrian explained that her best date went just more than just dressing nicely and eating food.  

“Texas Roadhouse is where it started, we got all dressed up and went to eat,” Adrian said. “But the best part was when we went over to a lamppost and started dancing to nearby music.” 

The sunset could be an amazing place to sit and enjoy a date. So could begin a date with arcade games and bowling.  

“My best date has probably been going to Big Al’s and playing arcade games,” said sophomore Jayden Murphy. “But the best part of the date was going to the foothills and watching the sunset.” 

Senior Sage Ziebell said her best date was going to an aquarium.   

“I would say my best date was going to the aquarium and then going back to his house and taking a nap,” Ziebell said.  

Hiking and backpacking could be a wonderful date. Teacher Matthew Miller told about a date he took a girl on.  

“It was on the fourth date with this girl, I took her backpacking and then take a hike up a lake,” said Miller. “She enjoyed it.”  

Bad dates can be awful and often make people think how they could have been different. They also tell how to improve for the next one.  

Double dates can be the worst, especially if their dates don’t talk the whole time.  

“My friend and I went on a double date and neither of the guys talked to us,” Ziebell said. “It was just awkward.” 

Homecoming can be a disaster as well as good dates. Murphy explained that it was awful for her.  

“The homecoming date I went with was just awful,” Murphy said. “Never will do that again.”  

Swan boats can be an amazing date during the summertime. Being and being on the water and having a blast with a partner can be fun when it’s nice out.  

“The worst date was when my boyfriend wanted to go on swan boats,” Adrien said. “It was winter.” 

Dates can be awful but also good. It just depends on the person and the actual date. Dates are a great way to get to know someone if things go well.
